Double exposures on film with the Leica M6
It’s not straightforward to do double exposures with the Leica M6. You pretty much have to shoot the whole roll, wind it back to the beginning and then go around again.
The results are mixed, at best. But occasionally you get a decent shot.
I’m not the biggest fan of double exposures, to be frank. Especially on digital cameras. It’s a technique I try not to overdo with my own photography. But there’s something about the random nature of it and the look of black and white film that combine to make the process a worthwhile endeavour from time to time.
And it can be fun to practice.
These photographs were shot around Melbourne with Ilford XP2 film.
